From Natalie Abrams,

Masi Oka, Hawaii Five-0

One cast member may be getting killed off in the Hawaii Five-0 finale, but Masi Oka is getting a promotion.

Oka, who plays awkward coroner Max, has been promoted to series regular beginning in Season 2, reports.

The 36-year-old actor, who previously starred on NBC’s Heroes, was first introduced in an October episode.

A Season 2 pickup is expected to be announced at CBS’ upfronts presentation on Wednesday.
