BTS: Hawaii Five-0 go “ooh-rah” at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii

This past Tuesday the Hawaii Five-0 crew filmed scenes at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii.  This base sits on the peninsula that protects Kane’ohe Bay on O’ahu’s windward coastline.  Spotted on set were Alex O’Loughlin and Terry O’Quinn.  Executive producer Peter Lenkov tweeted a few photos from the set, as did director Jeffrey Hunt and screenwriter Elwood Reid.  Check out the behind the scenes photos on facebook.

For those of you wondering, “ooh-rah” is the Marine’s rallying cry or cheer.  For you nerds out there, it’s the equivalent of yelling “YO JOE!” before charging into battle.

This Marine was *not* on the Five-0 set.

Peter joked with that Sid Worley pseudoname. Sid was a character in the movie An Officer and a Gentleman and the actor’s name is David Keith.

LOL I was wondering why Richard Gere photos were coming up when I entered the name in Google. I recognized the actor, assumed Sid was his real name. I think I was eight years old when that movie came out.;)

  2. Sid Worley = David Keith. One of those guys you root for in Hollywood to just keep working. He’s fantastic 🙂 Glad to see him drop in on Five-0.

I was wondering where those “eye” signs were leading to the other day!!
