What is Sunset on the Beach?
Sunset on the Beach is a free, public event sponsored by the City and County of Honolulu. On a huge screen at Queen’s Beach at the end of Waikiki, event operators show a movie on the weekends, and the public is invited to find a place on the sand and enjoy the movie.
Major networks will feature premieres at this event, with the Hawaii Five-0 Season 1 premiere last September being the largest by far. ABC’s “Lost” also regularly showed their season premieres a week before the rest of the nation saw it.
How big was last year’s sunset on the beach?
It was huge with several thousand people there on hand. Fans could get up close and personal with the stars walking down the red carpet!
Be a part of it!
